Full-time · B2B SaaS · US or EU
Account Executive
You close new business with technical buyers in the US or the EU. Full-time, at a B2B SaaS company. You own the deal from the first meeting to the signature, and you are accountable for a quota.
Requirements
- 4 or more years selling into the US or the EU. Time selling only in other markets does not count toward the four.
- You have sold to technical buyers: engineering, security, product, devtools, or cloud. Name the product and the buyer.
- You have carried a quota of 100K+ every quarter.
- You have run deals with more than one person in the account: the user, and the person who approves the spend.
What you'll do
- Run discovery, a demo or a working session, and a written plan to close.
- Talk to the technical buyer and the economic buyer. One champion is not a closed deal.
- Open your own pipeline. Outbound into named accounts is part of the job, not a backup for a quiet inbound week.
- Take meetings the BDR books, and still be responsible for the number if that calendar is thin.
- Keep every live deal in the CRM: stage, next step, close date, and the people involved.
- Call the number in the weekly forecast. Change it when the deal changes, not the night before the review.
What a normal week looks like
- Live deals: calls with buyers, follow-up the same day, and the next step on the calendar before you hang up.
- New pipeline: a set of target accounts, outreach, and time blocked for it.
- One forecast review. You walk in with the deals, the amount, and what has to happen this week for each one.
How the job is measured
- Revenue closed against quota.
- Pipeline you created, not only pipeline you were handed.
- Forecast accuracy. A deal you call this month should close this month, or you move the date early.
Who this isn't for
- You have not sold into the US or the EU for 4 years.
- Your buyers were not technical.
- You only work leads someone else gives you.
- You have not carried a quota of 100K+ every quarter.
